Chameleon Technology, a leader in developing connected, clean, and cost-effective home energy solutions, has appointed Dr. Howard Porter as an advisor to their Board of Directors. Dr. Porter brings decades of experience, including his recent role as CEO of BEAMA, the UK trade association for energy infrastructure technologies and systems.
Dr. Porter’s extensive experience and advisory capabilities will be instrumental in advancing Chameleon Technology’s mission to empower UK consumers to reduce their climate impact through innovative home energy solutions.
Mike Woodhall, CEO and co-founder of Chameleon Technology, expressed the company’s enthusiasm for Dr. Porter’s appointment, highlighting his profound understanding of the UK’s electrical network and active involvement in government panels and task forces. Woodhall anticipates Dr. Porter’s close collaboration with the senior team to drive growth.

Dr. Howard Porter served as CEO of BEAMA for 25 years, during which he expanded the association’s expertise across a wide spectrum of energy-related technologies. His leadership extended to key roles in the UK and Europe, including chairing the ORGALIM board in Brussels and the EURIS group of associations during Brexit negotiations. Dr. Porter’s contributions included the establishment of senior advisory groups and fostering the creation of smart metering systems in the UK and Europe. He will continue to advise the BEAMA Board and represent the UK electrotechnical industry as a member of the IEC Market Strategy Board.
