by Anna

SWEP, a part of Dover (NYSE: DOV) and a global leader in brazed plate heat exchangers (BPHEs), has announced the introduction of CO2-reduced steel as an option for customers looking to reduce the carbon footprint of their heating systems and heat transfer projects.

“The introduction of CO2-reduced steel underscores SWEP’s commitment to sustainability and aligns with global efforts to mitigate climate change,” said Ulrika Nordqvist, SWEP President. “This new capability is key to advancing our own sustainability efforts and helping our customers reduce the carbon footprint of their value chains.”

For products using CO2-reduced steel, SWEP sources material from suppliers who prioritize renewable and low-carbon energy, fewer processing steps, and higher recycled steel content. Despite the reduced carbon emissions in production, the steel maintains the high quality and heat transfer performance that SWEP products are known for.
