Liebherr Unveils Eco-Friendly RTGs with Advanced Generator Options

by Anna

Liebherr Container Cranes has launched an updated range of Rubber Tired Gantry (RTG) cranes, offering five base models designed to cater to a variety of operational needs. These models include electric, hybrid, and variable speed options, with advanced generator and power solutions aimed at enhancing performance while reducing environmental impact.

Among the new models, two are fully electric: the RTG-CB, which uses a conductor bar power supply, and the ERTG-CRD, which operates with a cable reel. Both electric models provide zero local emissions, contributing to cleaner, greener operations. Additionally, two hybrid versions are available—RTG-HC, which incorporates super capacitors alongside a smaller diesel generator, and RTG-HB, which uses battery storage for improved energy efficiency. The fifth model, RTG-VSG, features a variable speed generator, offering improved fuel efficiency and reduced energy consumption.
