Environmental disclosure is a critical practice for organizations to address present and future opportunities and risks associated with climate change and water security. GF’s high ratings from CDP highlight its robust approach to environmental management and sustainability.

“Earning a place on CDP’s A List marks an important milestone in our journey towards becoming a sustainability and innovation leader, and shows the progress we have made as a company to enhance transparency on our environmental impacts,” said Mads Joergensen, GF’s CFO. “This is a tremendous result and I wish to thank our teams around the world for their efforts to tackle climate change and increase water security.”

GF has implemented a range of measures globally to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and energy consumption. These measures include investing in renewable electricity, both through purchases and self-generation, and enhancing energy efficiency in buildings by improving lighting and insulation. Additionally, GF is increasingly capturing and reusing heat from production processes and employing closed-loop cooling cycles for water use.

Since 2012, GF has been reporting its environmental data to CDP, which is based in London and maintains the largest environmental database on carbon emissions and water consumption worldwide. GF’s continuous efforts and transparent reporting have positioned it as a leader in environmental sustainability within its industry.

This achievement not only underscores GF’s commitment to environmental stewardship but also sets a benchmark for other companies aiming to enhance their sustainability practices. GF’s proactive approach to climate change and water security demonstrates the company’s dedication to mitigating its environmental impact and fostering a more sustainable future.
