OTTO Motors has introduced its newest autonomous mobile robot (AMR), the OTTO 600, designed to transform material handling operations with an industry-leading 600 kg (1,322 lb) payload capacity. The heavy-duty robot enables manufacturers and warehouses to automate the movement of pallets, carts, and oversized loads while seamlessly integrating with existing automation systems.
Engineered for Demanding Industrial Environments
Built with a rugged all-metal construction and IP54-rated protection, the OTTO 600 withstands harsh conditions including dust, moisture, and high-traffic factory floors. Its compact 1050/700/320 mm footprint allows navigation through tight spaces, while advanced sensors and autonomy software ensure safe operation around workers and obstacles at speeds up to 4.5 mph (2 m/s).
Software Enhancements Boost Efficiency
The release of OTTO 2.28 software further enhances fleet performance with optimized traffic management and a streamlined facility configuration interface, reducing deployment time for new workflows. This marks the company’s sixth major software update in three years, reinforcing OTTO’s commitment to continuous improvement in AMR intelligence.
Bridging Automation Gaps in Modern Facilities
Unlike traditional AGVs, the OTTO 600 connects disparate automation islands, autonomously transporting heavy payloads between production cells, storage areas, and loading docks. Its ability to handle both palletized and non-palletized loads makes it ideal for automotive, aerospace, and heavy manufacturing applications where flexibility is critical.
Expanding the Future of Autonomous Material Handling
With this launch, OTTO Motors strengthens its position in the high-capacity AMR market, offering a scalable solution that reduces reliance on manual forklifts and fixed conveyors. The OTTO 600’s combination of strength, intelligence, and adaptability positions it as a key enabler for Industry 4.0 logistics transformation.
