Kaeser Compressors Inc., the U.S. arm of global manufacturer Kaeser Kompressoren SE, has officially broken ground on a major expansion of its facility in Fredericksburg, Virginia. The move is part of the company’s continued investment in workforce growth and production capabilities.
“This project expands our capacity to build more of our custom engineered solutions and KASE units right here in Fredericksburg,” said Frank Mueller, President of Kaeser Compressor. “With this small shovel, we’re going to seed Kaeser’s future growth.”
The new facility will primarily support the assembly of Kaeser’s custom air systems, including compressed air, low-pressure blower, and vacuum systems. Designed for reliability, efficiency, and quick installation, these systems are housed in weatherproof enclosures and mounted on custom skids, arriving fully assembled and ready for connection. They are ideal for both temporary and permanent installations where space or environmental constraints exist.
Currently employing around 300 people in the Fredericksburg region, Kaeser expects to add approximately 30 new positions as a result of the expansion. New jobs will span warehouse operations as well as mechanical, electrical, and plumbing trades.
Kaeser’s expansion signals its strong commitment to local manufacturing and its focus on delivering high-performance, energy-efficient air system solutions across a variety of industries.
