Watson-Marlow Fluid Technology Solutions (WMFTS), a global leader in peristaltic pumps and fluid path technologies, will present its cutting-edge product range for chemical metering, dosing, and chemical equipment applications at the Water Equipment Show (WES), held at the Telford International Centre on 15th May.
The event offers attendees an opportunity to explore how WMFTS’s peristaltic pumps can enhance sustainability and efficiency in water and wastewater treatment processes, with a focus on chemical equipment solutions.
Innovative Solutions for Chemical Dosing
At Stand F109-110, WMFTS will demonstrate its latest innovation, the Qdos™ H-FLO chemical metering and dosing pump. Designed to handle higher flow rates of up to 600 L/hr with a pressure capability of up to 7 bar (102 psi), the Qdos H-FLO offers the same exceptional accuracy and reliability as the rest of the Qdos® range. It is compatible with various pumpheads and tube materials, ensuring optimal chemical compatibility for diverse process fluids and chemical equipment applications.
The Qdos family of pumps includes six models—20, 30, 60, 120, CWT, and H-FLO—tailored to meet a wide array of chemical dosing and metering needs. Widely adopted at major water and wastewater treatment facilities across the UK, Qdos pumps are known for their ease of installation, operational efficiency, and minimal maintenance. Their patented ReNu pumphead can be quickly replaced without tools, and requires no specialist training.
Reliable Performance for Challenging Applications
WMFTS will also highlight the Bredel APEX hose pump, ideal for handling chemically aggressive or abrasive materials at pressures up to 8 bar. The APEX pump’s high flow capacity reduces wear on its precision-machined hose element, extending service intervals. Maintenance is straightforward, requiring only a simple hose change, which can be performed on-site in just minutes.
Supporting Sustainability and Cost-Efficiency
Dale Kavanagh, Sales Team Leader for the Industrial and Environmental Sectors at WMFTS UK, emphasized the versatility of the company’s peristaltic pumps, including the Qdos H-FLO and Qdos CWT models. “These pumps are engineered for a range of demanding applications, from precise chemical dosing to handling abrasive sludge and slurries,” Kavanagh said. “The Qdos range is also now compliant with the latest revisions to the Water Industry Mechanical and Electrical Specification (WIMES), ensuring our solutions meet the evolving needs of the chemical equipment sector.”
The Qdos pumps have been instrumental in thousands of mining installations worldwide, offering accurate, repeatable, and contained reagent dosing, pH control, and slurry transfer. The Qdos H-FLO, specifically designed for higher flow rates, offers dosing accuracy of ±1% and repeatability of ±0.5%, delivering significant cost savings and operational benefits.
Durable and Efficient Bredel Hose Pumps
The Bredel hose pumps are engineered for handling abrasive sludge, paste, and slurries with 100% volumetric accuracy. These heavy-duty pumps are virtually maintenance-free, as they feature no impellers, liners, mechanical seals, check valves, or rotors to wear out. Bredel pumps can achieve flow rates of up to 108 cubic metres per hour at 16 bar, transferring up to 80% solids in suspension—making them ideal for challenging chemical equipment applications.
Watson-Marlow Cased Pumps
Also on display will be Watson-Marlow’s 500, 600, and 700 series cased pumps, which are renowned for their unrivalled accuracy. Featuring a user-friendly HMI (Human Machine Interface), these pumps require minimal key presses during operation, with fluid fully contained within the tube to ensure complete isolation of the pump—perfect for critical chemical equipment processes.
