Renishaw Partners with Ecotricity for 100% Renewable Electricity Supply in Net Zero Drive

by Anna

Global engineering technologies company Renishaw has joined forces with Ecotricity, the world’s first green energy company, to procure 100% renewable electricity for its main UK sites. The two-year contract with Ecotricity is a crucial step in Renishaw’s commitment to achieving Net Zero Scope 1 and 2 emissions by 2028 as outlined in its climate transition plan.

Renishaw’s sustainability goals align with three of the UN’s sustainable development goals (SDGs): SDG 8 (Sustainable Economic Growth), SDG 12 (Sustainable Consumption and Production), and SDG 13 (Climate Action). The company aims to reduce emissions related to its business activities and purchased energy, and this partnership with Ecotricity contributes to its global initiative for 100% renewable electricity usage across all sites, including those in India, Japan, Mexico, and the USA.
