Conflux Technology, an Australian leader in 3D printed heat exchangers, has unveiled its new facility in the United Kingdom, marking a strategic step in its European expansion.
The newly opened site will serve as Conflux’s regional hub, supporting its significant presence in Europe, which currently accounts for over a third of the company’s business. This expansion is aimed at bolstering Conflux’s reach in key markets, including aerospace, automotive, and motorsport. The opening of the UK facility coincides with the company’s 10-year anniversary, celebrating a decade since the development of its first patented heat exchanger using additive manufacturing.
Michael Fuller, CEO and Founder of Conflux Technology, expressed excitement about this milestone. “We are extremely proud to celebrate ten years of driving innovation in heat exchanger technology, offering superior performance with our advanced solutions,” he said. “Europe is a crucial market for us. Conflux UK will not only contribute to shaping the future of automotive, motorsport, and aerospace sectors, but also enhance supply chain resilience. We are eager to expand our operations and collaborate with some truly innovative companies.”
The facility is expected to open later this quarter, initially focusing on research and development (R&D), materials certification, and providing local customer support. Conflux plans to scale the site into a fully operational production center based on customer demand, which already includes several Formula 1 teams, Rocket Factory Augsburg, and AMCM. The latter is working with Conflux to 3D print heat exchangers for use in its large-format metal additive manufacturing system.
In October, Conflux raised $11 million in a Series B funding round to accelerate the development of its Conflux Production Systems. This manufacturing solution promises to revolutionize traditional heat exchanger production processes. Additionally, the company recently announced a collaboration with AMSL Aero to develop hydrogen fuel cell cooling for the Vertiia Vertical Take-Off and Landing (VTOL) aircraft.
This new facility in the UK represents a pivotal moment in Conflux’s journey, reinforcing its commitment to innovation and its ambition to expand further into high-growth markets across Europe.
