Predator Software Adds Support for Okuma’s Next-Generation OSP-500 Control

Predator Software, a leader in data collection and OEE measurement software, has announced its support for Okuma’s latest OSP-500 control within their suite of manufacturing solutions. This support extends to Okuma’s 21.5″ and 15″ models of the P500M, P500L, and P500S series CNCs.

The Okuma OSP-500 controls come equipped with Ethernet communications across all models, offering an optional RS232 (DNC-B) support. Within Predator’s Manufacturing Data Collection (MDC) and Predator MDC Enterprise, support has been integrated for multiple machine monitoring and data collection protocols, including OSP API, MTConnect, and OPC UA.

In addition to automated data collection, Predator MDC now offers integration with 18 different functions for OSP-500, 300, 200, and 100 series controls. This integration enables operators to manually input additional data, access cell status, and view other relevant information directly from the control panel.

Furthermore, Okuma OSP-500 support has been incorporated into other Predator Software products, such as Predator DNC and Predator Virtual CNC.
