At the 2023 PPMA Show, esteemed packaging machinery manufacturer and supplier Adelphi will proudly exhibit a selection of products from its extensive range, including automatic filling machines, benchtop fillers, monobloc fillers, IBC mixers, and more.
Visitors to stand D92 at the 2023 PPMA Show will have the opportunity to engage with experts from the Adelphi Group and witness firsthand the latest innovations, including the company’s automatic filling machine featuring the new quick strip feature. This machine, a proven success with over 1,000 units deployed worldwide, incorporates quick-release nozzles for seamless and tool-less transitions between different containers and products. Users can choose from a range of cylinder capacities (1, 3, 5, or 6 liters) to precisely match product volume requirements.
This versatile machine allows users to adjust fill speeds during the filling cycle, ensuring optimal precision and efficiency for products with varying viscosities and container sizes. With ‘no container, no fill’ sensing technology, it minimizes waste and enhances production efficiency.
For simplified maintenance, the system offers an optional flushing circuit, enabling efficient in-place cleaning to minimize downtime and maintain a hygienic production environment.
Also on display is the Response benchtop filler, setting industry standards with an impressive accuracy of +/-0.25% (compared to the industry average of +/-1%). It achieves a rapid production rate of 20-40 bottles per minute, equivalent to filling an average of 15,000 containers in an 8-hour shift. With fill volumes ranging from 3ml to 1 liter, it accommodates a wide range of product requirements.
The Response benchtop filler can be quickly disassembled for thorough cleaning in just three minutes, minimizing production downtime when transitioning between products and containers. It offers interchangeable nozzles to handle various viscosities, making it suitable for a diverse range of products, including essential oils, reed diffusers, candles, and more. Available in single and twin-head configurations, it provides versatility to meet different production needs.
For those seeking a bespoke production line, an example of Adelphi’s Response monobloc filler will be on display. This filler is capable of filling from 5ml up to 1000ml, filling and capping 15-25 containers per minute, and maintaining a filling accuracy of up to +/-0.25%. The Monobloc can be customized to create a complete turnkey packaging line, including an in-feed table, bottle blower, filler, automatic cap placement, capper, labeller, and collection table.
The exhibition also features a new IBC mixer from Pharma Hygiene, designed for use with Intermediate Bulk Containers (IBCs) with a 150mm screw cap and a robust metal outer frame. This versatile mixer is suitable for liquid-to-liquid, oil-to-oil, and powder-to-liquid mixing, as well as consistent product blending during storage. It ensures a flawless surface finish with an average Ra of 0.5 micrometers, free from pits or crevices.
The mixer is equipped with a variable speed drive, allowing speed adjustment from 420rpm to 1400rpm to cater to various mixing requirements. It accommodates products with viscosities of up to 700 CPS (mPas), making it suitable for a wide range of applications. Safety is enhanced by the use of ‘kill-switched’ toggle clamps to attach the mixer to standard 1000-liter IBCs.
Powered by a 0.37kw motor with a variable speed drive, the mixer delivers reliable and controlled mixing performance. Constructed from durable 304-grade stainless steel with 316L pharmaceutical-grade wetted parts, it minimizes the risk of product contamination.
