This acquisition encompasses more than just the production site; it also includes a 40-acre water source situated in the heart of Bannau Brycheiniog National Park. For years, the Blaen Twyni site has been instrumental in supplying major UK supermarkets with a range of still, sparkling, and flavored natural source water drinks.

William Watkins, the founder and managing director of Radnor Hills, emphasized the significance of this deal for the company’s growth trajectory and its ability to meet surging consumer demand. Watkins stated, “The Blaen Twyni site presented us with the ideal opportunity to expand our capacity with a plentiful source of pure natural Welsh spring water, which complements the supply of pure water we already have at our source in Heartsease.”

Watkins continued, “We’re excited to welcome the highly skilled and dedicated workforce from Blaen Twyni to our Radnor family. The opportunity for us to continue to safeguard jobs in Wales and to offer further employment opportunities to the local area in the fullness of time is extremely important to us.”

Expressing gratitude to Highland Spring Group for the opportunity, Watkins praised their professional and helpful approach in facilitating a smooth transition.

Simon Oldham, Managing Director of Highland Spring Group, shared his satisfaction with the deal, highlighting the dedication of the site’s operations team during the transition. Oldham stated, “We wish them and the team at Radnor the very best for the future.”

Highland Spring Group’s strategic focus remains on driving the growth of Highland Spring as the UK’s leading plain bottled water brand. This aligns with their long-term strategy to invest in and develop high-quality, sustainable products that promote healthy hydration in an environmentally sustainable manner.
