​​K-State Launches Advanced Manufacturing Short Courses​

Kansas State University is expanding its professional development offerings with a new series of advanced manufacturing short courses at its Olathe campus. Designed to enhance both theoretical knowledge and practical skills, these courses aim to address critical industry needs in areas such as materials processing, automation, and system design.

2025 Course Lineup Combines Theory and Hands-On Learning

The 2025 curriculum includes specialized courses covering dust collection, pneumatic conveying, and bulk solids handling, among other topics. Each program blends in-depth theoretical discussions with hands-on training using real-world equipment. “We’ve structured the lineup based on proven demand and are continuously expanding to meet industry needs,” said Lauren Racki, professional development manager at K-State Olathe.

Flexible Learning: In-Person and Online Options

Courses are held at K-State’s Bulk Solids Technology Center in Olathe, featuring lab demonstrations at a nearby industry facility. For remote learners, online versions replicate the same rigorous curriculum through virtual demonstrations. Upcoming sessions include:
