Air Systems International has introduced the BB60-CO, a significant upgrade to its industry-leading portable breathing air filtration system. The new model builds upon four decades of proven performance from the company’s original BB50-CO system, offering enhanced filtration capacity and easier maintenance while maintaining the same price point.
Enhanced Filtration Performance
Developed in collaboration with a global filter manufacturer, the BB60-CO delivers superior moisture removal and extended filter life compared to its predecessor. The system now processes over 60 cfm of air while maintaining exceptional filtration standards—removing 99.9999% of particulates and 99.8% of oil contaminants. Its improved thermal tolerance operates effectively in temperatures ranging from -5°C to 60°C (23°F to 140°F).
User-Friendly Design Improvements
The BB60-CO introduces several practical upgrades:
- Retrofits existing BB50-CO cases for seamless integration
- Features auto-drains in primary filters for reduced maintenance
- Implements polymer bowl locking system (eliminating metal guards)
- Simplifies servicing with ergonomic component design
These enhancements address common pain points reported by users of the previous generation system.
Maintaining Legacy Compatibility
Air Systems International has engineered the BB60-CO to preserve backward compatibility, allowing facilities to upgrade their filtration capabilities without replacing entire systems. The compact, high-performance design utilizes advanced metal and polymer materials to achieve greater efficiency in the same physical footprint as the BB50-CO.
40 Years of Respiratory Protection Innovation
Since introducing the first portable Grade-D breathing air system in 1984, Air Systems International has continued refining its technology for industrial and emergency response applications. The BB60-CO represents the latest evolution in reliable respiratory protection, combining four decades of field experience with modern materials science to deliver improved performance at no additional cost.
