Veho and RIVR Partner to Deploy Parcel Delivery Robots in U.S.

by Anna

Veho, the fastest-growing alternative parcel delivery platform in the U.S., has teamed up with robotics leader RIVR to enhance the e-commerce delivery experience using innovative parcel delivery robots. The initiative launches today in Austin, with plans to expand to additional cities later this year based on trial outcomes.

This new delivery method pairs human drivers with wheeled-legged robots designed to navigate from delivery vehicles directly to customers’ doorsteps. These robots follow customer instructions for parcel placement and use the Veho app to send photo confirmations of successful deliveries. Unlike fully autonomous replacements, these robots assist human drivers by allowing them to deliver more packages faster and with less physical strain, especially in dense urban areas with limited parking.

During the trial, RIVR staff will accompany the robots to ensure safety and quality, while Veho and RIVR teams monitor performance in real-world conditions.

“It’s an exciting next step in reinventing e-commerce delivery,” said Veho CEO Itamar Zur. “By combining human skill with robotic support, we aim to improve delivery speed, reliability, and cost, all while maintaining the superior service Veho is known for.”

Veho operates across 50 U.S. metro areas and supports over 84,000 independent drivers through its proprietary technology and network of 30 distribution centers. This makes it an ideal partner for RIVR’s advanced delivery robots.

RIVR CEO Marko Bjelonic added, “Our mission is to deploy one million delivery robots using General Physical AI. Partnering with Veho allows us to bring this technology to urban logistics at scale, offering smarter and more efficient last-mile delivery solutions.”

RIVR’s robots overcome complex urban obstacles such as stairs, gates, and uneven terrain, distinguishing themselves from traditional sidewalk robots that are limited to curbside deliveries. This design allows RIVR’s robots to operate alo
