DICA unveiled its latest engineered ground protection systems at the recent Equip Expo, demonstrating how landscape contractors can reduce costs and improve job site efficiency. The company featured three key products designed to minimize ground disturbance while supporting heavy equipment operations – MaxiTrack, EnviroMat, and SlatTrax.
Heavy-Duty Matting for Challenging Sites
The new MaxiTrack system represents a breakthrough in temporary access solutions, supporting equipment weighing up to 130 tons. Its innovative interlocking design allows crews to deploy over 1,000 square feet of coverage in under an hour. The lightweight 88-pound mats feature overlapping flanges that create a seamless, stable surface when connected, significantly reducing ground seepage and rutting.
Eco-Friendly Alternative for Sensitive Areas
DICA’s EnviroMat offers contractors a tool-free installation option that preserves turf integrity under loads up to 100 tons. Weighing 10 pounds less than comparable products, the 4’x8′ mats incorporate six handholds and a micro-traction surface to prevent slips while protecting delicate landscapes. “It’s our most user-friendly solution yet,” noted Sales Director Kevin Koberg.
Rapid Deployment System Saves Labor
The SlatTrax spool system addresses labor challenges by enabling a single operator to deploy 100 feet of temporary roadway in just two minutes. Compatible with skid steers and other loaders, this innovation dramatically reduces crew requirements for site preparation while maintaining DICA’s standards for ground protection.
Comprehensive Benefits for Contractors
“These solutions help contractors in three key areas – cost reduction, operational efficiency, and job site safety,” Koberg explained. By distributing equipment weight evenly, DICA’s products minimize soil compaction and other ground disturbances that can lead to costly repairs or project delays, making them valuable investments for landscape professionals.
