Schill Grounds Management, ranked No. 30 on Lawn & Landscape’s Top 100 list, has acquired Bolingbrook-based Elevations Landscaping to expand its service territory in Chicago’s western suburbs. The deal marks Schill’s continued growth in the competitive Midwest commercial landscaping market.
Established Brand Maintains Local Identity
Elevations Landscaping, operating for over 20 years, will retain its brand and operational leadership under founders Catrina and Drew Wroblewski. The acquisition brings all 75 Elevations employees into Schill’s workforce, expanding total headcount to approximately 1,400. The Wroblewskis emphasized their excitement about combining forces while maintaining their company’s established market presence.
Complementary Services Enhance Offerings
The acquisition adds Elevations’ comprehensive service portfolio – including landscape design, hardscape installation, plant healthcare, and snow management – to Schill’s existing capabilities. Jerry Schill, founder and CEO, praised Elevations’ service culture and commitment to quality, noting the alignment with his company’s values and growth strategy for the Chicago region.
Operational Synergies Create Value
By joining Schill’s network of 30 service locations across the upper Midwest and Mid-Atlantic, Elevations gains access to expanded resources while maintaining local decision-making. The partnership provides operational support, business development expertise, and marketing capabilities to enhance service delivery for existing and new clients throughout the Chicago area.
Industry Consolidation Continues
This acquisition reflects ongoing consolidation in the commercial landscaping sector, where established operators seek strategic partnerships to expand geographic reach and service capabilities. The deal structure, preserving Elevations’ brand and leadership while leveraging Schill’s regional infrastructure, represents a growing model for growth-focused acquisitions in the industry.
