ESAB Launches Digital Welding Documentation System

by jingji47

ESAB Welding & Cutting Products has unveiled WeldCloud Notes, a cloud-based document management solution designed to streamline welding procedure documentation and compliance. The new software joins ESAB’s Digital Solutions suite, offering fabricators a centralized platform for managing critical welding qualifications and procedures.

Comprehensive Compliance Management

WeldCloud Notes addresses four key industry challenges: maintaining quality standards, simplifying document review, generating qualification records, and tracking certification expirations. The system supports major construction codes including ASME VIII and B31.3, along with international welding standards like ISO 15614-1 and AWS D.11. By digitizing these processes, ESAB aims to help manufacturers avoid costly requalification expenses and compliance issues.

Acquisition-Driven Innovation

The software originated from ESAB’s acquisition of Portugal-based WeldNote, founded by welding engineer Tiago Pereira and software developer Pedro Pereira. Both brothers have joined ESAB’s digital team while continuing to lead product development from Portugal. “We wanted to eliminate administrative burdens and human errors in welding documentation,” explained Tiago Pereira. “ESAB’s vision for digital solutions perfectly matched our goals.”
