Master Bond Unveils MasterSil 323S-LO: A Versatile Silicone for High-Performance Bonding

by Anna

Hackensack, NJ — Master Bond has introduced MasterSil 323S-LO, an advanced addition-cured silicone that excels in both electrical and thermal conductivity. This innovative product, adhering to the ASTM E-595 standard for low outgassing, is engineered for applications demanding low-stress bonding and is ideal for use in vacuum environments. Its applications span the aerospace, electronics, optoelectronics, and specialty OEM industries.

MasterSil 323S-LO combines flexibility with durability, characterized by a Shore A hardness of 35 to 55, a tensile modulus below 800 psi, and an elongation rate of 50-100% at 75°F. These properties allow it to endure rigorous thermal cycling and mechanical shock. The silicone operates effectively within a broad service temperature range of -80°F to +400°F. Its silver-filled composition ensures strong adhesion to a variety of substrates, including metals, composites, glass, ceramics, rubbers, and many types of plastics.

The product is user-friendly with a straightforward 1:1 mix ratio by weight. Its paste-like consistency minimizes flow, and it cures without the need for humidity exposure. MasterSil 323S-LO offers flexible curing schedules at elevated temperatures: 4 to 6 hours at 160-180°F, or 2 to 3 hours at 190-210°F. The silicone is available in jars from 20-gram kits up to one-pound kits, catering to different project scales.
