Stratasys has unveiled its GrabCAD IoT Platform, a new solution designed to optimize 3D printing operations by providing real-time monitoring, diagnostics, and predictive maintenance. The platform integrates with GrabCAD Streamline Pro and is initially available for PolyJet J3/J5 Series printers, with plans to expand to other technologies.
Enhancing Printer Uptime and Support Efficiency
The platform enables remote troubleshooting by Stratasys Customer Support, allowing engineers to analyze printer data and resolve issues faster—reducing downtime and improving productivity. Customers gain real-time fleet insights, helping them prevent disruptions before they impact production.
Data-Driven Decision Making
By consolidating printer performance metrics into a single standards-based IoT system, the platform helps operators identify trends, optimize workflows, and implement preventative maintenance. Stratasys claims this will minimize unplanned outages and extend equipment lifespan.
Simplifying the 3D Printing Ecosystem
Rich Garrity, Stratasys’ Chief Commercial Business Officer, stated: “This isn’t just about individual printers—we’re transforming how customers engage with their entire Stratasys ecosystem.” The move eliminates the need for multiple proprietary IoT solutions, streamlining operations.
Future Expansion Plans
While currently limited to select printers, Stratasys intends to roll out the platform across its full range, reinforcing its commitment to digital manufacturing innovation. The technology is available now for eligible GrabCAD Streamline Pro users.
