Citizen Machinery UK’s Open House Showcases Latest CNC Turning Centres and Celebrates 40 Years of Miyano Presence

by Anna

In light of the upcoming EMO 2023 machine tool trade fair in Hannover (18th – 23rd September), Citizen Machinery UK is extending an invitation to manufacturers keen on exploring the newest offerings in CNC sliding-head and fixed-head turning centres. For those unable to attend EMO 2023, there’s a notable alternative on the horizon. From October 3rd to 5th, Citizen Machinery UK will host an open house event at its esteemed Turning Centre of Excellence located in Brierley Hill.

This event holds special significance as it commemorates the 40th year that Miyano’s products, renowned fixed-head lathe manufacturer, have graced the UK and Ireland markets. This legacy dates back to its initial presence facilitated by the former sales agent Macro Machine Tools. Since 2010, the brand has flourished as an integral part of Citizen Holdings, a manufacturing titan known for offering Cincom sliding-head lathes, alongside an array of turning machines incorporating cutting-edge auto-loading systems, facilitating swift material and parts handling.

Managing Director Edward James highlighted the dual celebration at the heart of the open house, stating, “We will not only be celebrating the 40th anniversary of Miyano’s presence in this market, but also seven years since the launch of our ground-breaking LFV (low frequency vibration) programmable chipbreaking software.” James further noted that this revolutionary technology has propelled the company to become the preeminent supplier of CNC bar-fed lathes across the UK and Ireland.
