Exmark has unveiled its completely redesigned 2025 Lazer Z zero-turn mower series at the Equip Exposition, marking the 30th anniversary of its flagship commercial mower line. The new family features four distinct series (X, S, E, and V) along with diesel and electric options, offering landscapers unprecedented choice in deck sizes from 48 inches to an expansive 144-inch flex-wing configuration.
Precision Engineering Meets Operator Convenience
The premium X-Series models boast industry-leading 12 mph cutting speeds and innovative Adapt technology for tool-free deck adjustments. Maintenance has been simplified across the lineup with features like automatic belt tensioners and as few as two annual grease points on some models. “We’ve engineered each series to deliver specific value propositions,” explained Jamie Briggs, Exmark’s marketing director, noting the E-Series now offers professional-grade performance at entry-level pricing.
Autonomous Technology Addresses Labor Challenges
In a major industry development, Exmark debuted its Turf Tracer with XiQ—the company’s first commercial autonomous mower. The system combines GNSS/RTK positioning with ISO-certified radar to enable supervised autonomous operation. “This technology lets crews multiply their productivity,” said Jeremy Tate, Exmark’s autonomous program manager, highlighting the system’s cloud-based property mapping that remembers site layouts for entire fleets.
Cutting-Edge Features Across All Models
Every Lazer Z series now incorporates ergonomic improvements including redesigned suspension seats and easier engine access. The electric V-Series and diesel models complement the lineup, while the 96-inch deck option features Exmark’s innovative rear-discharge Flex-Wing design. Smart diagnostics provide operators real-time monitoring of critical systems through intuitive dashboard displays.
Legacy of Commercial Landscaping Solutions
Since introducing the original Lazer Z in 1995, Exmark has consistently pushed zero-turn technology forward. The 2025 refresh represents their most comprehensive update yet, addressing everything from cut quality to fleet management in an era of labor shortages. With cutting decks, power options, and automation solutions to suit operations of all sizes, the new lineup solidifies Exmark’s position at the forefront of commercial mowing innovation.
