HD Hyundai Construction Equipment North America has strengthened its crawler dozer offerings with the introduction of the 146-horsepower HD130, joining the existing HD100 in its growing product line. This strategic expansion enhances Hyundai’s comprehensive range of construction machinery that includes excavators, loaders, and specialized material handling equipment. The new 15-ton-class dozer delivers increased productivity for demanding earthmoving applications while maintaining the brand’s reputation for operational efficiency.
Engineered for Performance and Efficiency
The HD130 features a fuel-efficient Perkins 1204J Tier 4 Final-compliant engine, available in two specialized configurations. Contractors can choose between the low ground pressure (LGP) model at 33,730 pounds with 4.98 psi ground pressure or the XL version weighing 31,907 pounds. Both variants incorporate an advanced hydrostatic transmission system that provides precise speed and torque control across varied terrain conditions. The dozer’s 8’11” track length and oscillating track system ensure stable operation on challenging job sites.
Operator-Centric Design Enhancements
Hyundai prioritized visibility and comfort in the HD130’s design, relocating the cooling system to improve forward sightlines and incorporating full-length doors for enhanced peripheral vision. The cabin features an ergonomic joystick control system with adjustable sensitivity settings, complemented by a standard 2D grading system that simplifies precision work for operators of all experience levels. Four high-intensity LED lights and a rearview camera system extend productive working hours into low-light conditions.
Advanced Technology for Modern Job Sites
Beyond its robust mechanical specifications, the HD130 comes equipped with intelligent features including an 8-inch display monitor and electrohydraulic controls that allow three-level adjustment of blade movements. Standard safety components include ROPS/FOPS cabin protection, seat belt warnings, and optional forestry guarding packages. The machine’s 5.6 mph maximum travel speed and eight lower track rollers provide stability during operation while maintaining efficient jobsite mobility.
Configurable for Diverse Applications
HD Hyundai offers multiple customization options to tailor the HD130 for specialized work environments. Available accessories include full track guarding, additional work lamps, parallel rippers, and towing drawbars. The company emphasizes the dozer’s versatility for grading, land clearing, and infrastructure projects, with particular advantages in wetland and forestry applications where its LGP configuration minimizes environmental impact. North American dealers are now accepting orders for the HD130, with deliveries scheduled to begin in the fourth quarter.
