RouteSavvy has introduced several new features to enhance its route optimization software, including a time-saving route cloning function. Users can now duplicate existing routes and make modifications rather than building new routes from scratch, significantly speeding up the planning process for recurring deliveries and service calls.
Intelligent Address Management Tools
The updated platform offers an improved address autocomplete function that suggests location options based on the user’s geographic data. The system also recognizes points of interest like parks and business centers that may not have standard addresses. These enhancements help dispatchers quickly add stops while minimizing input errors that can disrupt routing efficiency.
Advanced Visualization Capabilities
Route planners now benefit from enhanced map displays that overlay routes on top of service territories and delivery zones. This visual integration allows for better decision-making when assigning stops to specific routes or drivers. A new quick-zoom function provides instant map focus on any address with a single click, improving navigation during the planning stage.
Expanded Data Export Options
Completed routes can now be exported with both drive distance and time metrics included, giving drivers and managers more comprehensive trip information. The exported data seamlessly integrates with turn-by-turn navigation systems on mobile devices, while maintaining the option for traditional printed route sheets.
Security and Accessibility Improvements
While RouteSavvy’s unique browser-based data storage already provides inherent security benefits, the update now offers optional SSL encryption for organizations requiring additional protection. “These enhancements come at a critical time as demand for local delivery services continues growing,” said OnTerra Systems President Steve Milroy, noting the software’s increased focus on delivery management functionality.
